To use the calculator, enter the dimensions of the area you need to cover, then enter the depth that you wish to fill (please be aware that this calculator works in metres - for depth conversion we have included an approximate guide below).

Approximate depth conversions:
4 inch = 0.100m
3 inch = 0.075m
2 inch = 0.050m
1 inch = 0.025m

for your information:
1 cubic metre = 1.5 tonnes of soil

Please note; we supply topsoil in 1/2 tonne & 1 tonne bags, so 1/2 tonne bag will be approximately equal to 0.33 cubic metres. and a 1 tonne bag will be approximately equal to 0.66 cubic meters. (weight may vary a little due to moisture)
